Obagi-C Rx System (Normal To Oily)

The Obagi-C Rx System combines the antioxidant and skin-brightening benefits of Vitamin C with prescription-strength concentrations of hydroquinone to create a complete regimen of skin care for radiant, smooth, even-toned skin. It’s best used for preventative care, but offers healing benefits for sun-damaged skin or hyperpigmentation.
The Normal-Oily system includes a gentle toner to remove excess oil, and is formulated to offer complete care without clogging pores or leaving a greasy feel or shine.
The kit includes:
(1) Obagi C-Cleansing Gel (6 oz): A gentle daily cleanser that thoroughly washes away dirt, debris, excess oil and any other impurities while Vitamin C provides antioxidant protection against harmful free radicals.
(1) Obagi C-Balancing Toner (6.7 oz): A mild toner that removes any cleanser residue or excess oil to restore your skin’s pH balance for a smooth and soft complexion.
(1) Obagi C-Clarifying Serum Normal to Oily (1 oz): A powerful serum to reduce age spots and dark spots on your face for smoother, more evenly-toned skin. It works to minimize fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful, brighter skin complexion.
(1) Obagi C-Exfoliating Day Lotion (2 oz): A light lotion that removes dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, smoother skin. It helps to fade minor dark spots and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
(1) Obagi C-Therapy Night Cream (2 oz): A rich, nourishing cream that seals in moisture while improving the tone and texture of your skin. Its Vitamin C-enriched formula adds antioxidant protection against the harmful free radicals that can cause fine lines and wrinkles.
(1) Obagi C-SunShield Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (3 oz): Obagi’s most powerful sunscreen provides protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays, helping prevent signs of premature aging and sun damage. Its matte finish offers smooth protection without an oily shine or greasy feel.
Side Effects and Product Safety: People with prior history of sensitivity or allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients should not use it. The safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established.
Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or lips. In case of accidental contact, patient should rinse eyes, nose, mouth, or lips with water and contact physician.
Sunscreen use is an essential aspect of hydroquinone therapy because even minimal sunlight exposure sustains melanocytic activity.
Contains sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in certain susceptible people. The overall prevalence of sulfite sensitivity in the general population is unknown and probably low. Sulfite sensitivity is seen more frequently in asthmatic than in nonasthmatic people.
Treatment should be limited to relatively small areas of the body at one time since some patients experience a transient skin reddening and a mild burning sensation, which does not preclude treatment.
Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with topical hydroquinone. It is also not known whether hydroquinone can cause fetal harm when used topically on a pregnant woman or affect reproductive capacity. It is not known to what degree, if any, topical hydroquinone is absorbed systemically. Topical hydroquinone should be used on pregnant women only when clearly indicated.
Nursing Mothers: It is not known whether topical hydroquinone is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Caution is advised when topical hydroquinone is used by a nursing mother.
Pediatric Usage: Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 12 years have not been established.
Use of the product should be discontinued if hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients is noted.

| How to use | In the morning and again at night, begin by washing face with warm water and C-Cleansing Gel, avoiding eyes and mouth. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Dampen a cotton ball with C-Balancing Toner and wipe your face to remove any cleanser residue or excess oil.
Next, spread a thin even layer of C-Clarifying Serum over face (and neck and/or chest if directed) and smooth into skin until thoroughly absorbed. Allow serum a few minutes to completely penetrate skin. In the morning, follow by applying a thin, even layer of C-Exfoliating Day Lotion; at night, do the same with C-Therapy Night Cream. Smooth in until product is absorbed. In the morning, wait another few minutes, then finish with Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen applied generously. Re-apply sunscreen every 3-5 hours throughout the day. |
